AR10 .308 Zylindermutter Aluminium

I bought this as a replacement for the Aero precision barrel nut which is out of stock. There are two different thread pitches on opposite ends. Chose the side that matched my upper and it threaded on perfectly. A shim kit is a must as it is with any barrel nut so you can properly line up the nuts. The only thing it doesn't have that the Aero nut has is the holes drilled for securing a handguard. However this isn't a negative because those only work if you use their handguard. You just have to be able to drill and tread the holse you are going to attach your handguard to the barrel nut.

Tried to install this barrel nut on multiple upper receivers from different manufacturers and after about four turns it sees up… maybe it can be worked on and slowly progressed, but afraid that it may strip, and then the receiver is trashed…
