What is the Difference Between High Profile and Low Profile LR-308/AR-10 handguard?

The receiver height on the various LR-308/AR-10 rifles vary since there is no mil-spec/standardization with this platform compared to the AR-15. Determining the receiver height is needed when finding the right handguard that will fit if switching out an existing handguard or building an LR-308/AR-10.

The common two are aptly named high and low profile. Simply measure the height of the tab that juts out above the charging handle. Low-profile receivers measure 1/8" and high-profile receivers measure 3/16".

Not a Universal barrel nut

I can’t get the barrel nut off because I do not have a tool to get it off. I broke my wrench getting it on.

It matches perfect with my Aero M5 upper. Nice durable hand guard! Easy to install, only issue no instructions with hand guard. Individual MAY put the wrong end of the barrel nut causing severe damage to their upper. Good thing I’ve built other AR’s before this one. Shipping was super fast! I could believe it came that fast from so far away. No issues with packaging, came in mint condition.
