The rail installed easily like a RIS II rail should, but it has the slightest which causes it to not perfectly align with my upper receiver. That is why I have to give it a 3. I tried everything but when I tighten everything down it still has that angle. For my purposes it is not a big deal because like I said it is just slightly off. As far as the rail itself goes it’s pretty great. Looks exactly like a RIS II. All the RIS products I have from Knights went on perfectly. Held up like it should at the range and actually took awhile for the rail to start getting warm from the heat of the barrel which was impressive and led to a pleasant range trip. I would definitely buy again for a cloneish build like I said it may have that same issue, hopefully not.

Seems to be good quality. No instructions included, so you tube is your best friend for install. Arrived with a small nick on the front end. I emailed to see if there was a touch up paint option but received no response. I touched it up with the high heat spray paint I used on the gas block when I shaved it down. For the price, I'm happy with it.
the barrel nut location is off center. the hand guard is not centerwd no yhe barrrell.
i canot use the frt sight post. canot adjust it down far enough.
Wow 2ed one i have, both bad. I have put many togher and this is the only 2 that were bad.
changer out foe a new hand guard and it was fine... So now i have a painted piece of junk. so sad
I’m normally a snob when it comes to my ARs, but was building a budget rifle for a friend. This worked perfectly, and arrived quickly and the finish was perfect. I would buy one again if I were to do another Budget bill.
For $22 I was expecting a cheap piece of metal but this thing is solid I was very impressed with how it felt it feels like a good quad rail would recommend to anyone

Overall handgaurd was nice feels quality. But to my disappointment the barrel but didn't line up and had ti buy shims. Overall nice but they should be included. Not the first review I've seen with the same issue.

Comes with no instructions, I don't think I can even fit this on my rifle, and when asking me to review it on email, it deletes the text in the review so that it can ask you to go to their site to write it instead. You should have been more careful what you wish for.
Ended up purchasing for my 18inch .50 Beowulf ar and I love it good quality and a really nice overall piece. I would love for them to make a 15 inch for an ar10 I plan on building
I'll be honest and say I thought the same thing, but figured I'd roll the dice and see.....I'm glad I did, the handguard is solid and it's light, if you're not trying to be the guy who's stuck on overpriced name brand ****, you'll be surprised with this handguard.
The Javelin is a solid handguard with clean cuts and edges. It's the dryer (matte) anodized if you want to match the type of anodized black. Great anodized and good if you want to coat another color.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this handguard.

The hand guard is just to loose .no real good way to modify the two bolts going threw it or modify the handgaurd for tight fit

Put the black 12” on a rifle build and for the price it exceeded my expectations. Very solid, bolted up strait and the quality is 10 out of 10. I had a gas block issue and had to take the handguard off and it went back on no problems and was able to still torque down on the bolts just fine. Will buy again on next build.
