First, the anti rotation tabs don’t work with the “slick side” upper receivers. If you don’t have a milspec upper then this may not fit correctly. However the external surfaces match the slick side receiver much better than milspec as you can see in the photos from other reviews compared to mine. For this reason I filed down the anti rotation tabs for it to fit properly, then used some aluminum black. Since this surface sits flush against the upper when installed you can’t tell anything has been done to it.
Second, either the hand guard or the barrel nut are very slightly off and at the end of the barrel this results in a mm or so of offset. Not something you’d ever notice unless looking for it.
Also the included washer doesn’t fit anywhere so it’s useless.

Besides these things it’s a solid hand guard and should last plenty long. Looks great too.

Pleased with this hand guard so far. Can’t beat the price compared to other named brand guards. Barrel nut threads appeared to be cut well, no issues threading and tightening barrel down. I did take some sand paper and roughed up the ridges inside the hand guard that clamp down on the barrel nut, may or may not help with securement. Gave it 4 stars only because the anti rotation tabs did not fit snugly against the upper receiver, other than that it feels tight no slop or movement. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how well it holds up. Don’t hesitate to get a good hand guard at a low price.

I got the 17" handguard because i have an 18" barrel. The item functions well, tightens down secure and I've had no problem with it so far. The IR signature on this finish is lackluster, and could likely be improved. But considering how competitive the price for this product is I really cannot complain.

I ordered a 15" free float handgaurd in September I thought for the price I'd at least give it a try well I'm amazed it installed with no issues and looks good I've spent a good bit of money on brands such as odin,phase5, and several others and this one has not disappointed me after probably 400 rounds through it and it's still tight as the day I installed it

Rail is not straight. Rail is about a quarter inch off center from center of barrel. My compensator is touching ine side of the rail but has plenty of room on the other side so that tails me that the Rail is bent or is mil wrong and the anti rotation taps are to wide so they don't do anything to stop the handguard from rotating. Not a snug fit at all. I did buy one a few years back (older design that fit perfect) new design not to the same quality or fitment as the older version.

Couldn’t be more happy with the quality. I purchased it for my varmint hunting 6mm ARC. The barrel nut is decent quality, but the odd size made it a little more difficult for me to complete my install. I purchased a 30.6 mm crows foot and filed it’s opening to fit perfect so I could established my desired torque spec. I can’t wait to get it out and field test on my up coming coyote hunt.
