For the price paid for the handguard, I'm happy with the value in the product I received. I think having appropriate and reasonable expectations for what to expect when considering the very reasonable price you're paying is important.
Overall, the handguard does exactly what I needed the handguard to do. Its made just as well as other handguards from other companies who I'm sure would gladly charge you 4x-5x the price.
The finish is solid, the machining is plenty good for what 98% of purchasers will actually need from their handguards.
The only difficulty I am having is figuring out what type of specialty tool is needed to tighten down the barrel nut. The barrel is perfectly circular, no wrench flats, does not come with a specialty tool for use with a gunsmith wrench, and no instructions as to how to go about tightening it. My Midwest Industires Professional Armorer's wrench won't work with it either.
Besides that little scavenger hunt I'm on now, I'd say the handguard is an absolute "Buy" , given its price to value proposition.
