Feels great and looks great. So far, better quality than I expected from a faux DD. Gotta give it to them.
I've been searching for the right handguard to fit what I've been trying to do for a while. Came across ohhunt and voila. Right weight, length, and price. Can't go wrong.
Why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for a simple handguard is inconceivable to me. These handguards seem perfect in every way. Good finish. Solid mount. I know the elitists look down their nose at these handguards, but I don't really care. Let them pay several hundreds of dollars for something that isn't any better. The **** on mounting system works well. I'm not a fan of the clamp on style. It takes a little more effort to install, but once you're finished, you have a much better set up. Most other expensive handguards use the clamp on style, simply because it's easier to align. My only complaint is the shims. I received four shims, but they were all .004" I would suggest Ohhunt include a .001,.002,.003 and .004. My handguard required a single .001". You can get a set of shims at Amazon.
ohhunt® AR15 Steel Replacement M-LOK Handguard Barrel Nut With Mounting Nuts And Screws
Very very light so most likely not all that durable. I mean you get what you pay for I suppose 🤷🏻
I bought this for a rather unconventional build I was making.
I was building an airgun, most specifically a crosman 2240, out to look "rifle" like, I was thinking about how great it would be of I could mount an AR-15 handguard onto it.
I chose this one and it worked out amazing, absolutely beautiful. You be the judge.
Thank you ohhunt for this transaction being as smooth as it was.
I’ve been a gunsmith for about 20 years now, and I’ve used Ohhunt products many times in the last 4 years. These AR-15 Ultra Slim Free Float M-Lok Handguard are great quality at a great price! I have installed about 30 of them so far on various rifles, including 4 of my own, and have never had any issues. One rifle that has these handguards installed on it has been through 3 carbine course, 1 CQB course, and multiple other rigorous training programs, without any issues. The steel barrel nut, when properly torqued, holds firmly, and the handguards themselves work well when attaching lights, grips, slings, and NVD’s. Additionally, the PEQ-15 held zero when removed and reinstalled as well. My only note would be to proper torque on the handguard screws with an application of blue Loctite, but then, that would be the same on any handguard. Overall, these are great handguards and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to build or upgrade an AR-15.
This for hours to be built up on a 22 and it seems to work good nice and lightweight and the fact that the picatinny is just at the end I like because it doesn't tear your hands up pretty nice so far.
Can’t complain. Holds zero
